About the Role

We’re looking for a talented and driven Development Project Manager (Post-Contract) to join our high-performing Development team. Reporting to the Development Programme Manager, you will take the lead on delivering post-contract projects from start to finish — ensuring we meet agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This is a pivotal role that directly shapes the customer experience and the communities we serve.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead the delivery of post-contract housing development projects in line with time, cost and quality expectations.

Provide excellent customer service to residents, partners, contractors, and internal teams.

Manage the customer journey after completion, handling any defects, feedback, or ongoing issues.

Oversee contract variations and ensure value for money on any changes.

Liaise with and manage contractors, consultants, solicitors, and other external stakeholders.

Ensure planning conditions are met and maintained.

Use systems like Proval and Sequel to manage financial appraisals and cashflow forecasts.

Collaborate with internal teams and ensure smooth handover of properties.

Manage payments, coding, invoices, and budgets for post-contract projects.

Represent the organisation in external meetings with stakeholders, funders, and partners.

Ensure projects comply with the Homes England audit checklist and our internal Development Procedure Guide.

Prepare documentation and records for audits, funding submissions, and project monitoring.

Support defect resolution and ongoing engagement with customers post-handover.

Monitor risks, report KPIs, and complete project journals to evaluate success.

Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and procedural updates.

Support the team in preparing funding bids and maintaining partnerships.

What We’re Looking For

Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.

Minimum of GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Relevant professional qualifications or memberships (desirable).

Strong background in property development, with post-contract delivery experience.

Solid knowledge of housing development, construction contracts, and the built environment.

Familiarity with systems like SDS Proval and Sequel (or similar).

Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.

Confident working across departments, managing stakeholders, and representing the organisation externally.

Ability to write clear, concise reports and manage complex project documentation.

Self-sufficient with strong IT and admin capabilities.

Understanding of Homes England processes and funding models.

A genuine passion for delivering high-quality homes and great customer outcomes.
