Want to join Aldi’s National IT Team? We’re looking for a National IT Assistant to provide on-site, end user support to the Managing Directors and National Board Members.

Your New Role

Liaises with external service providers, internal and external auditors, and external bodies when required.
Trains NIT assistants where appropriate.
Provides technical, organisational and administrative support to the NIT department and the Director(s) in the business.
Collates presentations and training packs.
Maintains departmental stationery and consumables stock.
Prepares statistical information and makes relevant analysis.
Assists and participates in IT projects as specified by the NIT Director(s).
Trains NIT assistants where appropriate.
Complies with deadlines in own area of responsibility.
Complies with ALDI security policies.
Maintains appropriate backups and logs for data in the area of responsibility.
Checks invoices in the area of responsibility following Company procedures.
Maintains an efficient and well organised filing system for area of responsibility.
Archives documentation in the area of responsibility properly and arranges its disposal at the end of the archive period.
Maintains IT assets, by handling orders, repairs and warranty claims during hardware and software lifecycle.
Ensures that the workstation and surrounding area is well organised.
Works in accordance with the ALDI GB & IE Code of Conduct.
Facilitate both onsite and offsite meetings and develop backup plans for technical failures

About You

Essential:

Experience in an IT corporate role
Experience with iOS software and devices
Experience with Windows and M365
Helpdesk experience providing IT support
Flexibility to work outside of typical office hours for urgent IT issues
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Strong troubleshooting skills
Interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication
Strong time management
Ability to work under pressure
Full valid UK driving licence

Desirable:

Software Knowledge for business environments
Cybersecurity Awareness
Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Meeting Room solutions
Knowledge of Mobile Device Management systems

What you’ll get in return

Salary starting £36,625 rising to £42,270
18-month Fixed Term Contract
Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 day a week remote working
