Company Accounts Assistant
Location: Near Harleston, Norfolk
Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
 
We are excited to be recruiting an experienced Accounts Assistant on behalf of our client for a full-time, permanent role. This opportunity is based on the outskirts of Harleston, so access to your own transport is essential.
 
We are seeking a detail-oriented, organised professional with strong experience in accounting and finance. Accounting qualification is desirable but not essential.
 
Salary information:

  • Competitive salary of £30,000 – £34,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • 21 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Balancing accounts and ensuring accuracy.
  • Reviewing and reconciling company bank statements.
  • Processing sales invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Managing purchase invoices and payments.
  • Handling debit and credit control processes.
  • Overseeing cash flow and preparing VAT returns.
  • Organising and filing financial paperwork.
  • Preparing statements of income and expenditure.
  • Reporting management budgets to Directors and Managers.
  • Processing payroll for all staff.
  • Producing monthly management accounts and assisting with budget creation.
  • Supporting the preparation of annual accounts.
  • Providing administrative support to accountants.
