About the Company:
My client is a growing and dynamic specialist MGA focused on providing tailored insurance solutions in the UK property market. Known for their technical expertise, broker relationships, and strong underwriting discipline, they are now seeking a Property Underwriting Assistant to join their London team.

Role Overview:
The Property Underwriting Assistant will support a team of experienced underwriters in the daily management of new and renewal business, endorsements, and general underwriting administration. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2 years’ insurance experience looking to develop a long-term career in underwriting within the MGA space.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the underwriters by preparing quote documentation, slips, and endorsements.

Accurately input and maintain underwriting data in internal systems.

Liaise with brokers to chase documentation, answer queries, and manage submission follow-ups.

Monitor and track renewals, MTAs, and binders to ensure timely processing.

Assist in preparing and issuing policy documentation.

Provide analytical and administrative support to the underwriting team for reporting and audits.

Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and company standards.

Help maintain bordereaux and data logs for performance tracking.

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in insurance (ideally within underwriting support or operations).

Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.

Good understanding of the insurance market, ideally in the property class.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and within a team.

Enthusiastic about a long-term career in underwriting.
