A global alternative investment management firm is looking to hire a Trading Assistant.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to deepen their understanding of global macro markets and gain exposure to front office trading within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to traders and portfolio managers on the macro and rates desk.
Monitor and reconcile daily trade activity across interest rate swaps, government bonds, futures, FX, and other macro-related instruments.
Liaise with operations, middle office, and compliance teams to ensure accurate trade capture, settlement, and post-trade processing.
Assist with pre-trade analysis, order management, and market data monitoring.
Maintain and enhance internal trading tools, spreadsheets, and risk systems.
Monitor macroeconomic data releases and market developments relevant to global interest rates and macro strategies.
Contribute to trade idea generation through data analysis and research support as needed.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; strong academic background preferred.
2-5 years of experience in a trading assistant, trade support, or operations role within an investment management firm, hedge fund, or investment bank.
Solid understanding of global macroeconomics, fixed income markets, and interest rate products (e.g., government bonds, swaps, futures).
Familiarity with trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, TradeWeb, MarketAxess) and order management systems.
Strong Excel and analytical skills; Python, VBA, or SQL skills are a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with front office and support teams.
