As the Trade Documentation Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing operational delivery, compliance, and ensuring top-notch customer service across all trade documentation services. You will be the vital link between our team and stakeholders, driving consistency and efficiency while maintaining high standards.

Duties:
Operational Oversight:
Lead and line manage a team of 13 trade documentation issuing staff.
Collaborate with team supervisors to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and enhance service delivery standards.
Drive strategic planning and identify growth opportunities within trade documentation services.
Team Leadership & Development:
Supervise and mentor Documentation Officers, conducting performance reviews and facilitating continuous development.
Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture aligned with our core values.
Act as an escalation point for complex customer queries and complaints.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with core clients, software providers, and regulatory bodies.
Represent the organisation in external forums and certification networks.
Collaborate with finance and other departments on pricing updates and service innovations.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure all documentation processes meet legal and regulatory standards.
Support audit preparation and reporting, introducing mandatory procedure changes, as necessary.
Requirements:
Proven experience in team leadership and operational management.
Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Technical knowledge of trade documentation (ATA Carnets, Certificates of Origin) – Desirable
Project management experience – Desirable
