Technical Assistant – FRESH PRODUCE SECTOR
Full time office – Chart Sutton – 40 hour week – flex hours from 7.30am onward
Farm and pack house environment
Salary up to £29,300 p/annum
Private Healthcare after probation
25 days annual leave

Who?
Our client produces a wide range of fruit from in their farms in the United Kingdom, France, Poland and South Africa and are the largest growers of Blueberries in both Europe and Africa.
Alongside their farming operations, they also pack upwards of 60million packs f fruits from around the world at their Packhouse in the UK, per year. These fruits are mostly marketed to various multiple retailers and supermarkets in the UK.

You’ll be supported by a fantastic Technical Manager who will train and support you to ensure that the business is fully compliant and successful. Key Responsibilities:
Technical:
Support the company in managing food safety, integrity, legality and customer requirements on site.
Participate and assist in internal audits (GMP, systems, traceability and HACCP).
Communicate any non-conformances and concerns that are raised and ensure they are addressed and resolved.
Provide administrative support during third party or customer audits
Assist in handling customer complaints and queries where required.
Ensuring the external calibration of equipment is completed on time.
Ensure that paperwork and other documents used by the production team are accurate and up to date at all times.
Deputise for the other members of the Technical team when required.
Perform administrative tasks such as printing and filing.
Sample collection of fruit to required specification.
Training:
Arrange and deliver induction training for new starters.
Review and develop procedures.
Plan training across all teams to ensure training is kept up-to-date and relevant.
Assist Managers in delivering training to their teams.
Ensure training matrices are kept up to date.
Escalate issues where training is not delivered on time or where it is missing.
General day to day responsibilities
Take responsibility for the Health and Safety of yourself and others whilst at work.
To comply with all legal and statutory obligations applicable to the role.
Participate in training and personal development activities as required.
Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required by the Company.
Expected work allocation split – 50% Technical admin, 50% Training.
