Job Title: Assistant Technical Manager

Salary : £42-47k (depending on experience)

Location : Perth

We are looking for an Assistant Technical Manager who will work closely with the Technical Director, this is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is currently working as a Specification Technologist or Technical professional and who is ready to take a step into a broader role. The Technical Manager will manage internal and external specification requirements, review packaging copy, and ensure accuracy across product information, a role where attention to detail and proactive thinking are essential.

What you’ll be doing:

Managing all internal and external customer own-brand specifications
Producing back-of-pack content
Reviewing and signing off artwork with the Technical and Brand teams
Maintaining product data across systems and platforms
Supporting allergen management and validations
Prepare for and manage audits and internal reviews
Participate as an active member of the HACCP team
Deputise for the Technical Director when required

What you’ll bring:

A relevant qualification in Food Science or a related subject
Experience in a technical or specification-based role within food manufacturing
Strong understanding of packaging and labeling requirements
Confidence working with internal teams and external partners
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive mindset
Good IT skills across Microsoft Office
Experience working with large retailers would be an advantage
