Our client is a successful law firm based in Yorkshire. They are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join their busy Residential Property department. This is a senior fee-earning position offering the opportunity to manage your own caseload, supervise and mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to the growth and development of the department in line with the firm’s business plan.
Key Responsibilities
Manage residential property matters including sales, purchases, and remortgages with minimal supervision.
Supervise, mentor, and develop junior lawyers, conveyancing executives, and assistants within the team.
Deliver excellent client care, ensuring regular updates on progress and costs.
Meet agreed billing and time-recording targets.
Ensure compliance with SRA regulations, Solicitors Accounts Rules, and internal policies.
Promote the department’s services and contribute to marketing and business development initiatives.
Maintain strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Take responsibility for own professional development and contribute to in-house training where required.
Skills & Qualifications
Solicitor with 5+ years’ post-qualification experience in residential conveyancing
Proven ability to handle a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
Strong mentoring and team-building skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Professional, organised, and resilient with strong diary and case management skills.
