1. Introduction

Lunalogic UK LIMITED is a consulting firm specialising in quantitative finance and advanced technology. We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Analyst to join the Fixed Income research team within the trading division of a leading financial institution in London.

2. Context

The role is embedded in a team dedicated to developing models, methods, and tools that support risk management and trading strategies across linear and fixed income desks. The team collaborates closely with traders, pricing quants, and data scientists to deliver reliable, real-time solutions.

3. Main Objectives

Design and develop statistical models to generate trading signals
Collaborate with quantitative developers on pricing libraries for advanced market inputs
Partner with data scientists to explore AI-based methodologies
Build and deploy automated trading strategies in coordination with front-office traders
Conduct extensive testing to ensure robustness and reliability
Document methods, results, and workflows in alignment with quant and trading teams

4. IT and Technical Skills

Required:
Proficiency in Python
Strong expertise in statistical modeling and signal generation
Advanced analytical and programming skills
Preferred:
Previous experience in a front-office environment
Understanding of fixed income products and market dynamics

5. Soft Skills

Collaborative mindset, able to work with quants, traders, and data scientists
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Rigorous, detail-oriented, and quality-driven
Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities

6. Mandatory Requirements

8+ years of experience in quantitative research or trading strategy development
Proven experience developing tools or strategies for fixed income markets
Solid expertise with European government bonds (govies) and vanilla products
Proficiency in Python and experience in a quantitative research environment
Previous exposure to trading desks or front-office quant teams is a strong advantage
