Senior P6 Planner HV Substations

Job Title: Senior P6 Planner (HV Substations)
Location: Pembrokeshire
Contract Type: Contract – CIS
Contract Length: 6 month rolling (Hybrid)

Our client is looking for an experienced P6 Planner to join the team and hit the ground running, candidates will ideally have a strong EPC Project Planning background with expert knowledge of P6 and experience working on HV Substation builds.

Key Responsibilities:

Comprehensive understanding of project control methodologies and associated systems such as Primavera P6, MSP, and other systems
Providing a range of project control services, including implementing planning controls, scheduling and prioritisation, monitoring and reporting
Responsible for schedule management and earned value management
Build tender schedules for substation projects, interpreting drawings and client information to understand the construction sequence
Build design schedules with the design team
Analysis and evaluation of schedule management involving the critical path of scheduling techniques
Impact analysis of delays and change events, and implementation of agreed Compensation Events
Support the risk management process
Knowledge of relevant industry regulation, standards, and protocols
Contribute to relevant professional bodies and industry groups
Interact with clients and colleagues to achieve project objectives
Manage multiple projects and conflicting deadlines
Work autonomously and/or as part of a project team
Identifying new skills and competencies required to meet business needs
Understand the company’s Health & Safety and Environmental (SHE) Policies and Processes and statutory requirements
Travel and undertake site visits as required
Produce reports or provide information in a timely manner
Support our clients to ensure KPIs are met or exceeded

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience in building, developing, and managing schedules for high voltage substation projects
Understanding of the design process and construction sequence for HV substations
Full UK driving licence
CSCS card
Primavera P6 qualification or relevant experience
Relevant degree level qualification is desirable
