Digital Communications Specialist
This Leeds based not-for-profit organisation are recruiting for a Digital Communications Specialist on a 5 month contract. This role can be remote based with the requirement to get to the Leeds 1-2 days a month

As a Senior Communications Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing customer communications and improving digital presence. You’ll lead on key projects, ensuring communications are targeted, accessible, and effective. Your expertise will help shape how digital campaigns are planned, delivered, and evaluated.

You’ll be responsible for managing website content, overseeing relationships with external agencies, and driving improvements in accessibility.

Key Responsibilities

Support the delivery of the digital strategy across web, social media, and customer communications.
Plan and execute digital campaigns, leveraging data and audience insights.
Build and maintain web pages, ensuring accessibility and user-friendliness.
Manage relationships with external web agencies.
Lead the accessibility audit project to enhance website usability.
Write compelling, SEO-friendly content for various platforms.
Develop and implement self-service communications solutions.
Provide trusted communications advice to colleagues and stakeholders.

Key Skills

Experience leading communications projects from concept to delivery.
Expertise in content management systems for website maintenance.
Strong copywriting and content creation skills.
Knowledge of SEO and accessible content standards.
Social media management experience, including strategy development.
Experience of website accessibility and ideally use of Umbraco or similar CMS
Confidence in advising teams on best practices in communications.
