Your new company

My client is a well-established acoustic consultancy with over 20 years of experience delivering high-quality noise and vibration services across the UK and internationally. Known for their pragmatic and non-corporate approach, they offer a collaborative, flexible working environment with a strong emphasis on technical excellence and professional growth.

They also have a sister business used for designing and manufacturing bespoke, specialist equipment for use in the acoustics industry.

Your new role

Environmental Acoustics: Assessments of construction sites, wind farms, industrial sites, nightclubs, and other noise-generating facilities and developments.
Building Acoustics: Internal sound insulation, noise breakout, and compliance testing.
Planning Support: Supporting clients through the planning process, sometimes involved in planning appeals and nuisance cases.
Project Delivery and Management: Working with residential developers and retained clients in areas such as student accommodation and co-living.
Modelling, Testing & Calibration: Emphasis on real-world measurement and in-house calibration, with a preference for testing over modelling where appropriate.
Site work: Conducting noise assessments and testing on site.

What you’ll need to succeed

Degree-qualified in acoustics or a related field
Membership or chartership with the Institute of Acoustics
Experienced in environmental and/or building acoustics
Strong communicator with a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Passionate about maintaining high standards and continuous learning
Experience using modelling software such as IMMI, CATT, Insul
Commercial awareness
