A fast-growing, insight-led consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Accounts Payable Assistant to join its finance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong AP experience who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working with international suppliers and complex invoices.
Your new role
The successful candidate will be confident using Sage 200 and will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the accounts payable function.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the Accounts Payable inbox, prioritising and responding to supplier queries professionally and efficiently
Process high-volume and complex invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal procedures
Maintain supplier records and relationships, resolving payment discrepancies and ensuring timely communication
Prepare and process weekly payment runs, ensuring correct authorisation and documentation
Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on outstanding balances
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve PO/invoice mismatches and support purchasing controls
Accurately record AP transactions in Sage 200 and assist with month-end close tasks
Support the finance team with ad-hoc duties and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

What you’ll need to succeed

Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role, ideally within a consultancy, agency, or multi-entity environment
Proficiency in Sage 200 is essential
Strong understanding of invoice processing, supplier management, and payment cycles
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Good working knowledge of Excel and financial systems
