P2P Tower Lead (GBS)
Our client, an international energy services group, is seeking to hire a Group P2P Tower Lead. This role will have responsibility for leading and managing the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay process within the Global Business Services (GBS) organization, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and service excellence.
Additionally, this role will oversee daily operations, process transformation, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives across the P2P tower.
The P2P tower Lead will act as the key point of contact between business units, suppliers, and the GBS delivery teams, ensuring seamless purchase requisition, purchase order, invoice processing, payments, and supplier management activities.
The role requires strong leadership, process expertise, and collaboration to deliver best-in-class P2P services aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Governance
Lead the P2P tower within the GBS structure, managing teams across multiple locations or service delivery centers.
Define, monitor, and deliver against KPIs, SLAs, and compliance standards.
Ensure robust governance and internal controls across the end-to-end P2P process.
Operational Excellence
Oversee daily P2P operations including purchase order management, invoice processing, payments, and query resolution.
Drive root cause analysis and resolution of escalations to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Standardize and streamline processes in line with GBS operating models and global policies.
Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary contact for business stakeholders, procurement teams, and suppliers regarding P2P matters.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal functions (Finance, Procurement, Compliance, IT).
Manage supplier engagement and ensure adherence to agreed terms and service levels.
Transformation & Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for process automation, digitization, and standardization across markets.
Partner with technology teams to deploy ERP enhancements, e-invoicing, workflow tools, and supplier portals.
Champion Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to improve process efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
People Management
Lead, develop, and coach P2P teams to achieve performance objectives and career growth.
Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement within the tower.
Manage capacity planning and resource allocation to support business requirements.
Key Skills & Experience
Strong background in Procure-to-Pay / Accounts Payable / Finance Operations within a GBS, SSC, or outsourcing environment.
Proven track record in tower leadership, service delivery management, and process transformation.
Deep understanding of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, IFS, etc.), P2P automation, and digital tools (e-invoicing, OCR, supplier portals).
Solid grasp of internal controls, compliance, and risk management in finance operations.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across multiple levels of the organization.
Strong leadership and people management capabilities with experience in managing global/remote teams.
Continuous improvement mindset with exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
