The Role
As a New Business Sales Consultant within our SME Sales team, you will be responsible for managing incoming sales leads, generating and pricing tenders, securing contracts, and ensuring confirmations are completed by the end of each day. You will engage daily with brokers via phone and email to develop existing accounts and grow new business. This role will work alongside a team of Sales Consultants that are target driven to achieve and strive to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Drive growth of the SME new business portfolio to meet or exceed targets
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and customers via phone and email
Manage the end-to-end sales process: pricing, contracting, and transferring of agreements
Ensure all contracts are accurately processed and SODA documentation is completed
Adhere to risk and compliance procedures at all times
Collaborate cross-functionally to maximise revenue and operational efficiency
Continuously seek process improvements and innovative customer solutions
Maintain full compliance with SME sales procedures
Support wider team needs and business initiatives as required
Skills and Experience required:
Proven sales experience (essential)
Experience in the gas/power industry (desirable but not essential)
Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
Team player with a proactive, results-driven attitude
Excellent telephone manner and relationship-building abilities
Target-focused and self-motivated
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Flexible, easy-going and ambitious personality
