As we work towards the UK’s 2030 net zero target, we are looking for a proactive and people-focused Field Team Manager to support the Regional Operations Manager in leading regional field operations across North East London. This role will cover the E, EN, IG, N, & NW postcode areas, so a good understanding of the local geography & workforce landscape is essential.
You will be responsible for leading a team of Meter Operatives, ensuring performance targets, safety standards, and compliance requirements are met, while delivering against key business objectives. The role also includes resource planning, team development, and budget responsibility, making this a varied and influential leadership position.
Please note: candidates must have prior experience in the metering industry and have previously managed field-based teams within this sector. Applications that do not meet this essential requirement will not be progressed.
Location: Remote with regular travel across the E, EN, IG, N, & NW areas
Hours: Full-time (42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday).
Salary: £41,757 per annum + £2,000 London weighting + £4,500 car allowance
What We’re Looking For:
Experience & Knowledge
Previous team management experience within the utility metering industry
Excellent knowledge of meter operations activity
Understanding of health and safety within the metering environment
Based within, or in close proximity to, the E, EN, IG, N or NW postcode areas, with a willingness and ability to travel regularly across these areas
Technical Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and email systems
Numerate, with the ability to work effectively with data
Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail
Leadership & Communication
Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated leadership and team development experience
Able to coach, motivate, and manage performance across a dispersed team
Qualifications
Good standard of education (GCSE or equivalent)
Full UK driving licence (or equivalent) with a maximum of 6 points
