Mechanical Engineer role in Bury St Edmunds £48 – £50,000

Perform corrective and preventive mechanical maintenance
· Perform repairs of production and processing equipment as well as utility related equipment
· Support the installation of new equipment
· Ensure all repairs are documented
· Responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and neat work area
· Complete all paperwork neatly and correctly
· Participate in BOPEX (continuous improvement) program
· Comply with all procedures, regulation and policies applicable.
· Stop and report unsafe operations and use mandatory PPE as defined.
· Offer flexibility in working hours subject to business needs

Ideally we are looking for someone with :

The successful candidate will have completed their NVQ Level 3 engineering apprenticeship mechanically bias.
Ideally with experience working in heavy plant environment appx 5 years +
Experience working on PLC and SCADA control system. Mitsubishi, Siemens, Rockwell and Fanuc.
Work experience in a FMCG environment (food and beverage would be an advantage).
Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques is preferred.
Food Hygiene certificate
Clean driving license
