Job Title: QTS Maths Teacher – PRU Setting (SEN & Behaviour Support)

Are you a passionate, resilient Maths teacher with QTS and experience supporting pupils with SEN and challenging behaviour?

We are recruiting on behalf of a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Oswaldtwistle seeking a skilled and empathetic QTS Maths Teacher to start from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term temporary role ideal for someone committed to making a real difference in an alternative provision setting.

About the Role:

As a Maths Teacher in this specialist setting, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils who are not in mainstream education

Differentiate learning to meet a range of academic and behavioural needs

Work collaboratively with SENCOs and support staff to implement EHCPs and behaviour strategies

Build positive, consistent relationships with students who may display complex emotional and behavioural difficulties

Foster a calm, inclusive learning environment that promotes progress and personal growth

The Ideal Candidate:

? QTS – Essential
? Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary level
? Background in working within PRUs, alternative provision, or specialist SEN settings
? Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
? A flexible, trauma-informed approach and the ability to inspire disengaged learners
