Management Accountant

Management Accountant | Manufacturing | Leeds | £50,000 – £55,000

Join a leading manufacturing group as a Management Accountant, where you’ll play a pivotal role in financial leadership across multiple UK sites. Reporting to the UK Accounting Manager, you’ll manage a small finance team and deliver timely, accurate financial reporting to support strategic decisions.

What You’ll Do:

Lead and develop a team of 5 finance staff (AP Clerks, Assistants, Apprentice)
Oversee daily accounting operations: AP/AR, general ledger, fixed assets
Deliver monthly management accounts under tight reporting deadlines
Prepare key journal entries (accruals, prepayments, variances)
Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure SAP compliance
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and trial balance analysis
Review payroll and supplier payments for accuracy and control
Support internal and external audits with timely responses
Drive continuous improvement in systems and financial processes
What You’ll Bring:

Fully qualified (CIMA or ACCA or equivalent)
Strong SAP or ERP system experience
Background in manufacturing finance (highly desirable)
Excellent Excel and data analysis skills
Strong leadership and communication skills
High attention to detail and deadline-driven mindset
Proven experience as a Management or Senior Accountant
