Role Overview
A highly regarded UK law firm, known for its expertise in public sector litigation, is seeking a Local Government Lawyer (0–3 years PQE) to join its Birmingham-based team. The role involves assisting on a wide range of local government claims, including employers’ liability, public liability, highways, housing disrepair, property damage, social care, and data protection/GDPR. You will support senior solicitors with case management, client reporting, legal drafting, and court preparation.

Candidate Profile / Experience Needed
0–3 years PQE in civil litigation (EL/PL experience essential)

Exposure to local authority or public sector legal work

Familiarity with housing law, highways, social care, and GDPR matters

Competence in drafting legal documents and managing case files

Knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules (CPR)

Strong time management and organisational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
