About the Role
PDA Law Solicitors is seeking an experienced Lettings Agent to oversee a growing portfolio of rental properties on behalf of our landlord clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual with strong commercial awareness, a solid understanding of landlord and tenancy laws, and experience managing a small lettings agency.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end lettings process, from marketing properties and tenant vetting to lease agreements and ongoing property management. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to build strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full lettings lifecycle, including property marketing, viewings, tenant referencing, and move-ins.
Ensure compliance with all relevant landlord and tenancy legislation (e.g., deposit protection, safety certificates, eviction processes).
Oversee rent collection, arrears management, and lease renewals.
Liaise with landlords, tenants, and maintenance contractors to resolve issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records using lettings agency software (experience with systems such as Alto, Payprop or similar is desirable).
Provide regular portfolio performance reports to landlords.
Identify opportunities to grow the lettings portfolio and improve profitability.
Report to the manging director
Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience in lettings/property management, ideally within a small agency setting.
Strong knowledge of UK landlord/tenant laws and best practices.
Commercial mindset with the ability to maximise rental income and minimise voids.
Tech-savvy, with experience using property management software.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple properties efficiently.
