Executive Assistant – Employment Team (Cambridge Office)
Full-time | Permanent

Are you an experienced Executive Assistant looking for your next challenge in a dynamic and professional environment? We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Cambridge office, supporting a high-performing Employment team.

The Role

As an Executive Assistant, you will provide comprehensive support to a team of lawyers, working closely with Team Leaders and Regional Executive Services Managers. You’ll be supported by a range of internal resources including Document Production, Administrative Assistants, and Business Services.

You’ll enjoy a degree of autonomy in managing your day-to-day responsibilities while remaining a key part of the team. Strong client knowledge, excellent internal relationships, and alignment with the firm’s values are essential to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

Organise and attend meetings and events, including travel and accommodation arrangements
Support legal directory submissions and maintain lawyer biographies
Assist with client communications, newsletters, and mailing lists
Engage with external platforms such as LinkedIn to support networking and profile-raising

Client Service

Deliver exceptional client service and proactively seek improvements
Manage client/matter creation, compliance checks, and financial reporting
Support helplines and client portals, liaising with clients and professionals
Draft correspondence and legal documents, and coordinate file reviews

Diary Management

Coordinate appointments, ensuring all arrangements and documentation are in place
Maintain key dates and reminders across diaries and matter files

Finance & Billing

Conduct financial housekeeping meetings and prepare billing documentation
Liaise with finance teams, counsel, and experts regarding invoices and fee notes
Manage expense claims, purchase orders, and internal reporting systems

Workflow Management

Prioritise tasks, manage inboxes, and meet deadlines
Communicate effectively with lawyers and support teams
Delegate appropriately and maintain high-quality standards across all work

About You

You’ll be a natural organiser with a background in professional services, ideally with experience supporting lawyers or similar professionals. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with a variety of people across the business.
