We’re looking for an SC Cleared Software Developer to play a key role in modernising a legacy government web application.
While the current system runs on Django/Python/PostgreSQL, the team is gradually transitioning to a more modern, streamlined stack, making this an exciting opportunity to balance today’s stability with tomorrow’s innovation.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain and support the existing Django-based application.
Contribute to architectural decisions to reduce complexity.
Work with PostgreSQL databases and support data optimisation.
Support asynchronous processing with Celery.
Drive the transition toward modern web technologies, including JavaScript-based components and optimised SQL.
Tech Stack

Backend: Python, Django
Database: PostgreSQL
Task Queue: Celery
Frontend: HTML/CSS/JavaScript (future focus on modernisation)
Experience Required

Proficiency in Python/Django development.
Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL).
Familiarity with asynchronous tools (Celery).
Interest in modernising legacy systems and introducing new web technologies.
Strong communication skills for collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team.
