Interim Project Manager – Mechanical & Electrical Projects

Location: Plymouth, South West UK

Job Type: Contract (3 months initially)

Rate: £400–£450 per day (Inside IR35)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Project Manager to lead the delivery of Mechanical or Electrical projects ranging from £200k to £2m. This is a site-based role in Plymouth, where you will act as the No.1 lead, managing the full project lifecycle from design through to completion.

You’ll be joining a dynamic team and taking ownership of key projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage M&E projects from initial design through to handover.
Coordinate design, procurement, installation, and commissioning activities.
Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality standards.
Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders.
Monitor progress and produce regular reports.

Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience delivering Mechanical or Electrical projects between £200k–£2m.
Strong leadership skills with experience acting as the No.1 on site.
Ability to manage projects from design through to delivery.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Available to start promptly and work on-site in Plymouth.
Must be engaged via an Inside IR35 contract.
