Interim Head of FP&A | Manchester | Up to £80,000 | 12-Month Contract

A dynamic and transformation-focused subsidiary is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead a strategic finance engagement during a period of operational restructuring. This is a high-impact, project-based role ideal for a seasoned finance professional with a strong background in turnaround assignments and systems implementation.

Responsibilities

Restructure the financial planning framework in alignment with strategic goals
Implement scalable forecasting tools integrated with data lake infrastructure
Lead KPI reporting, scenario analysis, and business planning
Drive cost rationalisation and margin improvement initiatives
Deliver automated planning models and dashboards in collaboration with IT and data teams
Support restructuring activities and strategic decision-making through financial simulations
Ensure transparent reporting and integration with group-level transformation frameworks
Manage transition plans for handover to steady-state finance leadership

About You:

10+ years of FP&A and finance transformation experience
Proven success in interim or restructuring roles, ideally within subsidiaries
Strong systems background with tools like Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Power BI
Skilled in financial modelling, Excel, and business intelligence; SQL knowledge is a plus
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Comfortable working under pressure and delivering high-quality outputs quickly
