Interim Financial Controller – Media

Marc Daniels Recruitment is seeking an experienced InterimFinancial Controller to join a leading global media company, based in London, on a 3/6-month temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced, creative environment, supporting a highly successful business during a period of change and growth.

We are looking for a hands-on Financial Controller who is immediately available and ready to step into a senior role, overseeing financial operations, driving process improvements, and ensuring robust financial control across the business along with strong management & leadership capabilities to direct the wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day finance function, including month-end close, reporting, and cashflow management.
Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting to senior stakeholders.
Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls.
Business partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
Drive efficiencies and improvements in financial processes and systems.
Manage and develop a small finance team.

Requirements:

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
Previous experience within the media, entertainment, or creative industries is highly desirable.
Proven track record of operating at Finance Controller level.
Strong technical accounting and reporting skills.
Excellent leadership and direct management skills are essential
Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Must be immediately available or on a very short notice period.
