Robertson Bell are delighted to be supporting a leading public sector organisation in their search for an Interim Finance Business Partner for an initial six-month assignment. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a highly visible, outward-facing role. This is a six month contract with office attendance required twice per week.

The Role
This is a key appointment within a small Finance Business Partnering team, where you’ll work closely with senior managers and executives across the organisation. The role has a strong focus on capital expenditure and budget management, with responsibility for:

Leading on the management and classification of the capital budget, including the technology spend.
Supporting and challenging business cases with sound financial insight.
Providing forecasting and analysis to feed into management accounts (processing handled elsewhere).
Building and strengthening relationships with senior stakeholders, including Exec Directors.

With approximately 75% of your time spent business-facing, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner who enjoys developing relationships and influencing decision-making.

The Person
We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with strong business partnering and capital budget management experience. Public sector exposure would be highly beneficial but is not essential. You will need to demonstrate:

Proven experience supporting senior leaders, including Executive Directors.
A track record of delivering insight and challenge in a complex environment.
Confidence in managing capital expenditure and related reporting.
Strong communication skills and the ability to quickly build relationships.

If you are a finance professional with the skills and experience outlined above and are available for your next interim assignment, we would love to hear from you.
