Hybrid/Remote Residential Conveyancer

Job description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Residential Conveyancer to join our growing, CQS-accredited property team at our multi-service, multi-office Top 500 law firm.

This is a fantastic opportunity to handle high-quality conveyancing work in a supportive, professional environment.

You’ll manage a busy caseload with the support of our dedicated onboarding and post-completion teams, and depending on experience, may also work alongside a paralegal.

Remote and hybrid working options are available — but please note, we only consider remote applicants with proven experience working independently from home.

The Role

Managing a varied caseload of freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, and remortgages
Average caseload: 25 new files per month (with paralegal) or 18 (without)
Completing 20–30 transactions per month
Handling complex transactions such as shared ownership and buy-to-let
Liaising with clients, lenders, brokers, and solicitors to ensure smooth completions
Supporting and mentoring paralegals (where required)
Delivering excellent client care and maintaining strong billing standards

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

Minimum 3 years’ residential conveyancing experience (Paralegal, CLC, or FILEX – no solicitors/partner level)
Proven track record of managing cases from inception to completion
Previous experience of remote working (for fully remote applicants)
Strong organisational and IT skills, with the ability to work under pressure
Excellent client care and communication skills
A stable career history — we are looking for long-term commitment
Enthusiasm for teamworking and supporting departmental growth
