Salary: £95,000 – £118,000 per annum

About the Opportunity

An established business is seeking a commercially astute and strategically minded Head of Finance to lead its finance function. This is a pivotal role within the senior leadership team, offering the opportunity to shape financial strategy, drive performance, and support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Provide strategic financial insight to the board and senior stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal controls.
Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, and reporting.
Partner with operational teams to support commercial decision-making.
Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
Lead on cash flow management, working capital optimisation, and cost control initiatives.

Candidate Profile

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally within manufacturing, packaging, or FMCG sectors.
Strong technical accounting knowledge combined with commercial acumen.
Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Experience with ERP systems and financial transformation projects is advantageous.
