Reed Food & FMCG are seeking a dynamic and people-focused Head of Commercial for a fantastic Food business. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and deliver commercial strategy, driving sales and product strategy to achieve outstanding results.
Managing a team of 12 across Sales and Procurement, you’ll be an excellent people manager, accustomed to growing and developing high-performing teams, harnessing potential and always looking forwards.
Day-to-day of the role:
Develop and execute the commercial strategy across sales and procurement
Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, focusing on accountability, innovation, and expertise
Build and manage strategic partnerships with key customers and suppliers, driving solution-based selling and overseeing category and supplier management
Utilise market insights and data to shape effective category strategies that optimize product, pricing, and stock performance
Identify market trends, risks, and opportunities, adapting strategies to maintain a competitive edge
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Senior leadership experience in Sales & Procurement within the food industry
Proven track record of delivering commercial results in a high-growth environment
Strategic mindset with the acumen to turn vision into tangible results
Experience in building and leading high-performing, purpose-driven teams
Inspirational leadership style with excellent communication skills
Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and use data to inform strategies
Highly organised, adaptable, and able to work effectively at pace
Passion for innovation, learning, and continuous improvement
