Purchasing Admin- Essex (hybrid)- Up to £27,000 + benefits

We’ve got a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious junior professional to join a rapidly growing global supplier based in Essex, who are currently looking for a Junior Expeditor / Purchasing Administrator to join their team and support procurement and supply chain operations, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturers, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery and accurate tracking of all purchase orders. You’ll be part of a collaborative and professional team that values initiative, clear communication, and attention to detail.
About the role:
Act as a liaison between internal departments, suppliers, and external stakeholders
Facilitate and monitor the flow of inbound purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
Maintain and coordinate schedules across purchase orders and vendor activity
Support buyers with supplier issues, such as late or short deliveries, and help implement solutions
Produce clear, structured reports on key parts and supplier performance
Perform administrative tasks and maintain accurate records in accordance with internal policies and procedures
About you:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a confident phone manner
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Highly organised, with excellent time management skills and attention to detail
Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability
A proactive, self-motivated approach and willingness to take initiative
Previous experience in administration or purchasing (desirable but not essential)
Understanding of purchasing or supply chain processes is a plus
