Description
Manage the council’s property portfolio, including operational, investment, and community assets.
Undertake valuations for acquisition, disposal, leasing, and asset management purposes.
Negotiate leases, licenses, and rent reviews, ensuring best value and legal compliance.
Support regeneration and development projects, providing strategic property advice.
Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across all property-related activities.
Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to align property use with service delivery goals.
Profile
The successful candidate will be a RICS-qualified surveyor with strong experience in estate and asset management, ideally within the public sector. They will be a confident communicator, skilled in negotiation, valuation, and lease management, and capable of delivering strategic property advice that supports community and service objectives.
