The Role:
You will support a wide range of clients—particularly national housebuilders and developers—on development and land-related matters. Working closely with the firm’s Specialist New Build Team and senior Partners, this is a role with long-term growth potential and high client exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
Title investigation and complex site set-ups
Drafting and negotiating conditional contracts, options, promotions, and overage agreements
Supporting the new build sales process, including setting up plot sales and management schemes
Advising on infrastructure agreements, easements, and planning obligations
Handling land disposals (including to housing associations and freehold reversion sales)
Acting for landowners on disposals and related development documentation
Collaborating with colleagues across teams and contributing to business development
Ideal Candidate Profile
Essential:
Qualified solicitor or legal executive (or relevant equivalent experience)
Experience in commercial property or residential development
Strong interest in the housebuilding and development sector
Excellent drafting, communication, and organisational skills
Confident with client engagement and relationship building
Understanding of AML regulations, Solicitors Accounts Rules, and legal compliance
High computer literacy (Word, Excel, case management systems)
Desirable:
Familiarity with Visual Files and/or SOS Connect
Experience with affordable housing and infrastructure agreements
Background in business development or marketing activities
Role Details:
Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:15 (36.25 hours/week)
Location: Flexible across offices in Lincolnshire and the Midlands
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
