Salary: £50,000-£60,000 + Benefits + Vehicle

Client

Our client, a leading infrastructure services business, is seeking an experienced Depot Manager to lead operations at one of their flagship depots on the M25 network. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team responsible for maintaining one of the UK’s most critical motorway routes.

About the Role

As Depot Manager, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day depot operations including planned and reactive highways maintenance, winter services, incident response, and resource coordination. You’ll lead a diverse team of operatives, supervisors, and engineers-ensuring compliance, safety, and efficiency are front and centre at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations and workforce planning across maintenance and incident response teams
Drive performance against KPIs, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
Manage depot assets, fleet, materials, and winter maintenance readiness
Implement and monitor RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth operational delivery
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, CSCS standards, and operational protocols
Support and develop team members, promoting a strong health & safety culture

About You:

Proven experience in a similar Depot Manager or Operations Manager role within highways, infrastructure, or utilities
Strong leadership and staff management capabilities
Excellent knowledge of highways maintenance, incident response, and winter services
Familiar with RAMS, CDM regulations, and highway maintenance KPIs
CSCS card and relevant qualifications (e.g. IOSH/SMSTS) preferred
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent organisational skills
