The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and organised solicitor with experience in corporate law to work on a wide variety of matters while actively contributing to business development.
You’ll be handling a broad caseload of both transactional and non-contentious corporate matters, such as:
Mergers, acquisitions, and management buyouts
Company formations and restructures
Shareholders’ agreements, director and investor rights
Franchise arrangements and distribution agreements
Corporate governance and compliance
Intellectual property matters
Corporate finance
Data protection
Additional experience in construction, charity, or consumer law (including consumer credit) would be advantageous but not essential.
You’ll be encouraged to contribute to departmental growth through marketing initiatives, thought leadership, and networking, with full support from a collaborative and experienced team.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a high standard of legal service to a diverse corporate client base
Manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision
Support business development and build lasting client relationships
Maximise fee-earning potential in line with agreed targets
Ensure accurate time recording and billing
Maintain compliance with AML and risk management procedures
Keep up to date with developments in corporate law and practice
Candidate Profile:
Essential:
Qualified Solicitor with solid corporate experience
Competent in all core aspects of corporate law
Able to work independently and manage your own caseload
Excellent communication, organisational and drafting skills
Commercially aware with a client-focused mindset
Confident using case management systems
Desirable:
Experience in niche areas (construction, charity, consumer law)
Public speaking and seminar delivery skills
Existing client following
Marketing and business development experience
Role Details:
Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:15 (36.25 hours/week)
Location: Flexible across multiple regional offices
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience
