Part Time – 25 hours per week

Fixed Term Contract until 31st December 2026

This person will be responsible for providing a good quality, cost effective meal service in our clients Extra Care and Sheltered Housing Villages.

Job requirements

Assist the Catering Team Leader in delivering a high-quality, cost-effective meal service.
Assist in the preparation and planning of menus with attention to providing a variety of healthy and nutritious meals, light refreshments snacks and drinks.
Undertake all tasks in relation to preparation and cooking in a busy environment prioritising tasks as you go.
Maintaining the highest standards of food preparations and service of menu and short order food.
Undertake stock control and processing of food delivery orders making sure that food is appropriately stored.
Working as part of a team to maintain and high standard of cleanliness and operation of the kitchen, service and dining areas.

What they’re looking for

Qualified in Level 2 Food Hygiene or above (updated training will be available where necessary).
1 -2 years minimum experience in a similar role, preparing, cooking, and delivering a high-quality service and food standard.
A passion for great food and excellent customer service.
Experience and knowledge of food hygiene, allergens, health and safety legislation and best practices.
Excellent communication skills.
A flexible approach able to work a variety of days, shifts, and locations to cover service requirements.
DBS check needed.
