Conveyancing Assistant – Sheffield
Salary: £24,000 – £29,000
Full-time or Part-time | Permanent

We’re working with a highly regarded law firm with a strong presence across Yorkshire, known for combining top-tier legal expertise with a genuinely down-to-earth culture. Their busy residential property team in Sheffield is looking to welcome a Conveyancing Assistant who can help deliver smooth, efficient and client-focused service across a broad mix of property transactions.
This is a firm that continues to grow and innovate, and they’ve recently been recognised nationally for their work in residential conveyancing – a testament to the high standards and dedication of the team you’ll be joining.
You’ll be based in the Sheffield office (with some flexibility to work from home on occasion), working closely with fee earners to support a wide range of residential sale and purchase matters from instruction through to completion.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting fee earners on a variety of residential property files
Preparing and issuing documentation to clients in a timely and accurate manner
Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors throughout the transaction process
Carrying out searches, assisting with client onboarding, and managing file administration
Proactively monitoring progress on cases to ensure deadlines are met
Ensuring regulatory compliance across all files
Delivering excellent, clear client communication and updates throughout the matter
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience in a conveyancing or similar legal support role (essential)
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload
Friendly, professional manner with excellent client service instincts
Clear and confident communication – both written and verbal
High attention to detail and accuracy
IT literacy and experience with case management systems
