Job Description
A high-growth, pre-IPO financial platform is seeking a capital markets professional to lead the creation and execution of innovative capital raising strategies. This is a rare opportunity to architect and deliver novel funding structures—ranging from hybrid securities and structured equity to accelerated public raises—at a pivotal moment in the firm’s lifecycle.
You will be responsible for developing and facilitating creative capital solutions within the financial markets, engaging directly with brokers, institutional investors, and investment banks to execute across both private placements and public offerings. This includes oversight of instruments such as convertible debt, listed share classes, and drawdown facilities, as well as active management of ATMs (At-the-Market offerings) and accelerated bookbuild transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, structure, and execute capital raises including:
Preferred equity, convertible debt, equity-linked notes
At-the-Market (ATM) offerings and accelerated bookbuild raises
Drawdown facilities, SPVs, and hybrid capital instruments
Lead capital markets strategy and serve as the key interface with brokers, investment banks, and institutional capital providers
Navigate both public and private capital markets to deliver funding efficiently and opportunistically
Build robust financial models to illustrate yield, convertibility, downside protection, and investor upside
Maintain market awareness and readiness to activate opportunistic raises (including fast execution formats)
Core Skills & Expertise:
Deep experience raising capital via:
Structured equity and debt products
Accelerated bookbuilds, ATMs, PIPEs, and public follow-ons
Demonstrated ability to speak to and execute within institutional capital markets
Strong understanding of public and private instruments
Skilled in originating, structuring, and managing capital instruments post-raise
Established relationships with relevant market participants (banks, funds, brokers)
Ideal Background:
Ex-boutique investment bank, capital markets desk, PE fund, or alternative credit platform
Experience with listed investment vehicles, income-yielding instruments, or REIT/BDC-type structures
Background in ECM/DCM, structured finance, or alternative fund capital strategy
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with a high degree of autonomy
