Clover Talent is delighted to be in partnership with a rapidly scaling commercial finance brokerage that’s looking to make a key strategic hire. We’re searching for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to develop and expand vendor partnerships, including equipment suppliers, dealers, accountants, and more.

This dynamic finance brokerage arranges over £50 million annually in business loans and asset finance. Known for its innovative and ambitious culture, the company is aiming to become the UK’s leading and most comprehensive finance brokerage.

About the Business Development Manager Role:

As a Business Development Manager, you will focus on building strong, long-lasting relationships with partners who can benefit from offering finance solutions to their clients. This role demands a consultative sales approach, combining business acumen with excellent interpersonal skills to foster growth and create mutually beneficial partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and engage new vendor partners from a wide variety of industries i.e: manufacturing, dealerships, accountants, and trade associations
Actively generate new business opportunities by reaching out to potential clients and partners through targeted outreach
Leverage existing contacts and past finance enquiries to build a healthy sales pipeline
Deliver presentations and support partner teams to embed finance offerings into their customer sales process
Manage and nurture your pipeline, ensuring strong follow-through on referrals and inbound leads to secure funding deals
Work alongside internal teams to provide seamless customer experiences from introduction to deal closure
Represent the business at industry conferences, networking events, and exhibitions to build brand presence
Keep detailed records of activity and interactions within CRM and internal platforms
Stay informed on market developments, competitor activity, and new finance products
Consistently meet or exceed individual revenue targets, contributing to wider team success

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development within a B2B finance environment, ideally managing vendor relationships.
Proven track record in outbound sales and cultivating strong commercial partnerships
Solid understanding of finance structures, particularly asset finance and unsecured lending
Skilled at presenting to and managing relationships with business clients over the long term
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
A proactive, self-driven approach combined with a strong consultative mindset
Openness to learning, feedback, and ongoing professional development
Passionate about helping UK businesses access the finance they need to grow
