Walker and Sloan are proud to be partnering with a well known B2B marketing agency in London ,as they are keen to bring on board a Business Development Lead on a full time basis.

Business Development Lead

Reporting to: Commercial Director

Agency Services Salesperson, suited to someone with 7+ years’ experience working in a B2B Agency environment who loves meeting new people and a natural networker. We’re looking for an experienced campaigner who has ‘walked the walk’ and ‘talked the talk’. They must have proven experience in expanding blue-chip client accounts and collaborating with senior executives to develop and grow client relationships.

Commercially minded and with an eye for an opportunity. This role is well suited to someone who is solutions focused, a great communicator, ambitious and naturally outgoing.

The role

This role is focused on unlocking opportunities with NEW clients whilst growing some of the sleeping giants they have already on their roster where there is untapped potential.

Our client works with large blue-chip companies, to deliver digital and creative projects and events. Because the companies they work with are so huge, there is always opportunity to uncover more projects.

You’ll be responsible for spotting these opportunities, pitching to gain interest, and winning new business with existing clients, as well as some new clients too.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Generating new business opportunities.
Tracking digital campaigns created by the marketing team to identify client engagement & follow up on prospective leads
Following up on engagement via telephone and email to gain interest.
Attending events to network, identify opportunities, and introduce CI Group to prospective clients.
Attending meetings with clients to learn about their requirements, seek new opportunities.
Hunting briefs from clients for creative/digital/event/PR/AI solutions
Leading the wider delivery teams to build solutions & respond to briefs/RFP’s
Pitching those solutions to clients.
Closing new projects
Growing a major technology client account to more than £500k in delivered margin in year 1.

The package

Up to £60,000 basic salary (dependent on experience)

To be successful, you will…

Experience in a B2B agency environment in a sales or account management role
Have experience in IT industry sales (preferred but not essential)
Natural problem-solver and can spot opportunities for new business
Experienced negotiator, in deals greater than £100k revenue.
Take pride in always delivering excellent work
Able to work to deadlines
Experience of working too and achieving targets
High level of commitment, energy, and enthusiasm
Able to remain calm and work effectively under pressure
Enjoy achieving challenging results
Self-motivated with strong team spirit
Able to work independently with little supervision and well with other team members
Have the desire to develop, upskill, and progress within your role
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Be able to prioritise with proficient organisational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks
Adaptable, happy to travel to work from client office locations
A natural networker- comfortable working a room in social & business settings
