Cobalt is proud to be partnering with a leading property company in their search for an experienced Building Manager to oversee a flagship commercial asset in the heart of London’s West End.

Totalling around 300,000 sq. ft., this high-profile building is home to a blend of prestigious blue-chip office occupiers and high-end retail units. The role offers the chance to take ownership of a premium address, managing the day-to-day operations and delivering exceptional service within a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.

You’ll be responsible for leading on all aspects of building management, including oversight of hard and soft services, service charge budgeting, contractor performance, and tenant engagement. You’ll also line manage an Assistant Building Manager, supporting their development and ensuring high operational standards are maintained across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the effective management of all on-site operations and services

Manage and mentor the Assistant Building Manager

Deliver excellent occupier experience through proactive relationship management

Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and statutory requirements

Lead on service charge budgets and financial reporting

Manage service partners to ensure performance meets contractual SLAs and KPIs

Support ESG initiatives and sustainability objectives

About You:

Proven experience managing large-scale, high-profile commercial buildings

Strong working knowledge of service charge budgets and FM operations

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Confident in managing service providers and driving performance

IOSH or NEBOSH certification desirable

Leadership capability and experience managing junior team members
