Are you a seasoned Bridging Underwriter looking for your next step with a forward-thinking lender?

We’re working with a well-respected and growing financial institution based in Manchester that specialises in short-term property finance. Due to continued growth, they’re looking to bring on board an experienced Bridging Underwriter to join their high-performing team.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a collaborative, dynamic environment where your expertise will be recognised and rewarded. You’ll be underwriting complex bridging applications and playing a key role in the lending decision process, working closely with brokers, solicitors, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and prioritise your own pipeline of bridging finance applications
Underwrite deals in line with company lending policy and risk appetite
Make sound, commercial lending decisions and escalate cases where needed
Maintain strong communication with brokers, borrowers, valuers, and solicitors
Deliver exceptional customer service across all touchpoints
Collaborate closely with internal teams: Sales, Compliance, Finance, and Collections
Proactively solve problems, finding solutions that maintain risk integrity
Monitor loans post-completion to ensure all offer conditions are met
Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes and best practices
Accurately maintain internal systems and documentation
Represent the business at networking or industry events as required

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience underwriting bridging finance applications is essential
Strong knowledge of UK property finance and risk assessment
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Detail-oriented with strong commercial awareness
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proactive and solution-focused mindset
