Our Client is seeking a driven and enthusiastic AutoCAD Technician to join their team in a permanent full time position (no remote working).

Job Title: AutoCAD Technician

Location: Dover

Salary: IRO £38,000 pa

Hours: 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Benefits: 25 days leave 8 BH, free parking, contributory pension

AutoCAD Technician skills and qualifications

Formal qualification to HNC level or experience working within a construction related discipline e.g. Civils, Architectural, M&E or Structural
Proven AutoCAD experience in a construction related environment
Drafting experience with a specialisation in specific construction related discipline e.g. Civils, Architectural, M&E, or Structural.
A working understanding of the features of a drawing management database.
Be able to carry out quality assurance checks on peers drafted drawings to ensure high quality, consistent and compliant drawings are issued
Experience in interpreting and developing processes, strong analytical and organisational ability
Minimum of 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at Grade 4 or above to include English, Mathematics and a technical/science related subject
Good working knowledge of MS office 365 suite
Valid UK driving licence and use of own vehicle

AutoCAD Technician job summary

Being responsible for the daily management of all internal drafting services including creating and maintaining the co’s base plan data
The administration, quality checking and production of AutoCAD drawings in relation to major/minor capital and maintenance activities, and the management of the co’s Service Clearance procedures.
The successful candidate will also assist in the effective daily operation of other Asset Management department functions as required.
The post will suit someone who is proactive, dynamic, approachable, a team player, with good interpersonal skills. Someone that is keen to get involved in continuous improvement and other supporting department activities.
The role is customer facing with a strong emphasis on client-side drawing office functions. You will be expected to work closely with stakeholders from across the business delivering a high-quality service, within defined SLAs covering a range of engineering disciplines.
