Reed Practice is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Banbury. Due to continued expansion within their corporate department, this respected firm is seeking an Audit Senior to join their dynamic audit and accounts team.
The Role
This is a varied and client-facing position, with a strong focus on audit and assurance work, complemented by statutory accounts preparation and exposure to both corporate and personal tax. The firm’s client base spans a wide range of industries, including the not-for-profit sector, offering a diverse and rewarding workload.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality work to deadlines, supporting managers and directors, and helping to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Planning: Assessing risk, setting materiality, and designing audit procedures.
Fieldwork: Leading audits, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring clear, well-documented files.
Completion: Summarising key findings for director review.
Client Engagement: Building strong relationships and delivering excellent service.
Communication: Keeping managers and team members informed throughout the audit cycle.
Budget Management: Monitoring time and costs and reporting to managers.
Additional Duties:
Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies
Drafting corporation tax computations
Assisting with personal tax returns
About You
ACA or ACCA part-qualified (or equivalent), with at least 2 years’ audit experience in practice
Confident in planning and completing audits independently
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, and CCH is desirable
A proactive, positive attitude with a desire to support and mentor junior staff
Full UK driving licence and access to transport for client visits
