Robert Half Finance & Accounting are currently recruiting for a small but growing business based in Gloucester who are looking for an Interim Part-time Accounts Assistant to join them for a period of 4-6 months.

Role: Part-Time Accounts Assistant – Gloucester

Location: Gloucester

Working pattern & hours: 20 hours per week. Initially based for training then min 1 day per week in the office.

Start date: 30th September

Money: £28,000 – £35,000 – Depending on relevant experience/quals (Hourly rate equivalent)

Responsibilities:

Reconcile historical activity
Work with the FD to devise a full suite of basic accounting processes and procedures
Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts
Prepare and process invoices – Sales & purchase ledger
Assist with monthly/quarterly VAT returns
Nominal ledger Journals
Generate ad-hoc financial reports
Ad hoc financial tasks as required to assist the wider team and business

Skills/experience needed:

Previous varied experience in an SME all round accounting role
Willingness to work in a changing environment
Ability to use initiative and problem solve
Team player attitude and strong work ethic
Exceptional organisational and time management skills
Effective communication skills
