Real Estate Account Handler
Location: Chelmsford (Hybrid)

We are delighted to be working on behalf of our client, a leading specialist in insurance and risk management services, to recruit a Real Estate Account Handler to join their team in Chelmsford.

The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Real Estate Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of property and liability claims across the UK and Europe—from initial investigation through to final settlement. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service while adhering to all technical, operational, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Investigating, negotiating, and settling claims in a timely and professional manner.
Liaising with insured parties, insurers, brokers, and other stakeholders—both in the UK and overseas.
Producing clear and accurate reports in line with internal guidelines and professional standards.
Managing time reporting, billing, and processing in line with company procedures.
Ensuring all invoices are issued accurately and promptly.
Working closely with the client’s Loss Adjusters where appropriate.
Attending internal and external client review meetings as required.
Experience in real estate or commercial property claims is highly desirable, particularly within a loss adjusting or insurance handling environment.
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential.
You will be confident in decision-making and demonstrate excellent stakeholder management capabilities.
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships both internally and externally.
Professional qualifications (or progress towards one) such as Cert CII or similar would be an advantage.
