Senior Qualified Accountant

Hours: Monday to Friday (Flexi hours)

Hybrid Working: 2–3 days per week from the offset

Location: Central London, City Road

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum Bonuses

Split: Accounts 70% – Tax 30%

As part of our expansion, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Qualified Accountant to join our London office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to take on a senior position in a supportive and ambitious environment.

The Role

The Senior Qualified Accountant will take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients, providing technical expertise and leadership. You will be responsible for overseeing complex compliance work, delivering advisory services, and supporting the development of junior team members both in the UK and offshore.

This role requires strong practice experience, commercial awareness, and the ability to build trusted client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of accounts, tax returns, and advisory work.
Oversee and review work prepared by junior staff in the UK and offshore teams.
Provide strategic advice and technical support to clients on complex accounting and tax matters.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and UK tax regulations.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
Lead and support the development and training of junior team members.
Liaise with HMRC and other stakeholders where required.
Contribute to business development opportunities and practice growth.

Requirements
ACCA or ACA qualified.
5+ years post-qualification experience within an accountancy practice.
Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and UK tax compliance.
Proven experience in managing client portfolios and leading teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
Commercially astute with a client-focused approach.

Desired (Not Essential)
Expertise working with clients in the Sports & Entertainment industry.
Experience advising high-net-worth individuals and personal service companies.
Knowledge of international tax matters.
