About our client

Our client is a leading global alternative asset manager with a strong presence in private credit. The valuations team provides deal support, portfolio monitoring and valuation oversight across the firm’s investment strategies. This newly created role offers the opportunity to build and enhance the valuation function for private debt within a high-performing, collaborative team. What the job involves

The Investment Valuations Manager will oversee the monthly and quarterly portfolio review process for debt investments, working closely with deal executives, finance teams and senior leadership. You will review and challenge valuation methodologies to ensure compliance with policy, manage third-party valuation providers and lead the audit process.

Manage the overall valuation process and timelines, coordinating multiple stakeholders
Review individual valuations and challenge methodologies, including DCF, market comparables and yield analysis
Monitor market data and macro indicators to inform assumptions
Prepare and present valuation materials to the Investment Committee and Executive Committee
Lead process and system improvements to enhance portfolio monitoring and valuation capabilities
Provide ad-hoc support on deal execution and portfolio analysis
Who we are looking for
Significant experience in private credit valuations, ideally also a qualified accountant
Strong technical skills in DCF, comparables, yield analysis and valuation standards
Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills
Commercially minded with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive, organised and detail-oriented, with a hands-on approach
