Vehicle Technician

Location: St Austell
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £35,000 +
Driver Licence Required: Yes

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our client’s team at their St Austell site.

The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in the assembly, maintenance, and repair of various vehicles. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.

Day-to-day of the role:

Carry out servicing, repairs, fitting accessories, and Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) to our high standards.
If applicable, conduct MOT testing efficiently.
Repair and replace faulty parts and components.
Maintain excellent communication with the Workshop Controller and Service Advisors.
Work quickly and with attention to detail to meet service standards.
Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and commitments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum NVQ Level 2 Qualification in a relevant field.
Current MOT license is advantageous but not essential.
Strong technical knowledge and skills in vehicle maintenance and repair.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Proficient in using various tools and equipment required for the job.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Must hold a current full UK Driver’s License.
